The project centered on following pro skateboarder Chris “Cookie” Colbourn through a single day, approaching the shoot with an editorial lens that balanced documentary realism with brand-focused storytelling. The art direction leaned into natural light, candid framing, and textured environments to create a cohesive narrative that felt lived-in and authentic. Rather than purely performance shots, the emphasis was on lifestyle imagery — small details, in-between moments, and the rhythm of Cookie’s day — crafted to provide Dickies Skateboarding with a versatile suite of assets that could live fluidly across social media and web, while staying true to the culture and brand aesthetic.
